A: This risqué shower is full of humor and grown-up fun. A lingerie shower doesn’t require “extra” preparation per se, but it may take some creativity and detailed planning for the best time.
Here are a few ideas to incorporate into your special shower:
*Hire a trunk show and bring in models for a lingerie fashion show.
*Invite a professional retailer to provide a “pleasure party” where they sample and sell the latest in romantic toys, games, lotions, and oils.
*Set out a fresh fruit and vegetable tray, mini quiches, strawberries dipped in chocolate, champagne and chilled mineral water with lemon and lime slices.
*Create signature romance-inspired drinks.
*Encourage each guest brings two gifts -- one naughty and one nice! Nice gifts would be a monogrammed bathrobe, bath towels from their registry, aromatherapy oils, and engraved champagne glasses. Naughty gifts for the honeymoon could be sexy lingerie and romantic books and products.
*Don't include registry information on the invitation itself. It's acceptable to enclose a list of where the bride is registered, or what she likes, including colors and sizes.
