A: Bridal showers are meant to “shower” the bride with gifts and well wishes. Try serving food that she loves too – let your theme be your inspiration -- it can range from ideas like these:
Appetizers. A vegetable platter, along with various types of cheese, chips with fresh salsa, brushetta, and sushi are just some of the ideas to choose from.
Drinks. Signature drinks work well, such as, margaritas, martinis, or mojitos can all be sweet and savory. Some non-alcoholic choices are strawberry lemonade, or Arnold Palmers (half-lemonade/half-iced tea).
Tea. Besides offering an assortment of teas, also serve dainty foods. Think little scones, tea sandwiches (triangles with the crusts cut off), and mini-muffins.
Brunch. Some ideas are Belgian waffles, Eggs Benedict, pastries, fruit, mimosas (champagne with orange juice), hash browns and other breakfast-related foods.
Lunch. BBQ dishes, like macaroni and cheese, chicken, greens, and mashed potatoes. Or, a picnic-style theme complete with gingham table clothes, where you can serve simple foods, like potato salad, sandwiches, and salads, all paired with a great wine.
Dessert. Opt for the bride’s favorite baked confection, anything from a cake, to cupcakes, or cookies would be a delight. Mixed fresh fruit, cheesecake, and chocolate dipped strawberries, and tiramisu are equally scrumptious.
